Toupin Construction just finished putting a new wood laminate floor in my place at Rossmoor. They are the best. First, they brought samples and left them for a few days for me to be able to choose from among them. The whole install crew was unbelievable; professional, attentive to detail, trustworthy, and extremely kind. At the end of each day's work, Tim Toupin Sr. came in to make sure all was done well. My husband and I volunteered to be walking billboards for Toupin Construction after the beautiful remodel of two ancient bathrooms. The level of craftsmanship and professional service was superb. We very much wanted to stay within our budget and Toupin completed the project with no change orders. Their assistance with design, tile color, fixtures, etc. we're so appreciated.
The project was completed within their estimated time frame and each evening we received a phone call informing us of the next day's intended work. Mark is their designer....he drew sketches incorporating the features I wanted and shopped with me for lighting, tile, paint color and appliances. I found this very helpful. For me the frustrating thing about getting bids/quotes on doing a major project is that I like to see a fairly detailed design before I decide who to hire. This was a service that Toupin delivered that I found very helpful. Mark drew very detailed designs before I hired the company; he also spent time going over the design with me before I had made a decision. I realize this can be an expense that few construction companies want to take on before getting the contract; they have to put time and effort into something that may not have any payback however, as a client this was the "above and beyond" service that made it easier for me to decide.
I hired Toupin Construction to do a remodel on most of my house. The layout was changed from one and a half bathrooms to two full bathrooms. The popcorn ceilings disappeared, all the wall were painted and wood flooring was installed throughout the living spaces. Soundproofing was added. I have two fabulous bathrooms, one with a Japanese soaking tub and the master with a huge shower. Toupin started on time and went over the time estimate by only one week. I added to the project as I went along, so that extra week was on me. I had a lot of fun working with the designer. Although I brought an inspiration photo with me, he did the layout and attended to the enormous amount of detail. The workmanship was superior - all the Toupin craftsmen know what they are doing. I threw plenty of curve balls at them, but they persevered until all the details were worked out. These were some of the nicest, most trustworthy, and most competent people I have ever met. Tim Toupin, the owner and foreman for the project, told me that they would be here with me until I was 100% satisfied. And they were! They have never left me hanging with unfinished business. One of the best aspects of their service is that I received a nightly phone call letting me know what was happening the next day. They stayed pretty much on their initial estimated budget; extras charges were for the changes that I made. I have a stunningly beautiful house thanks to their craftsmanship! They are worth every penny. I will definitely be hiring them in the future!
